India has several scholarship schemes to help students who are meritorious but are unable to afford higher education due to their circumstances. You can find the details below for some such scholarships. The details include the eligibility criteria, the benefits offered, the courses it is applicable for and the mode of application. Some of these scholarships are provided at the national level. State-level scholarships are also available for students of grade X and above.

It is important to note that many government schemes and many schools reward their students by offering them a scholarship base on the results of their class X examinations. This 10th class scholarship allows students to pursue a course of their choice for higher education.
1) 9GEMS Holistic Development Scholarship

2) Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Global Skills Scholarship
This scholarship recognizes young talents who are technology enthusiasts and have natural inclination towards the field of digital space. It is applicable for students of grades 6 to 12. The scholarship is awarded to students who are winners at various national Olympiads, ISRO Space Quiz, and other recognized science events. The selected students receive various fee waivers.
3) Kishor VaigyanikProtsahan Yojana (KVPY) Exam
This is a good platform for those who have an aptitude for science and wish to pursue higher studies with medical or non-medical science subjects. The stipend is very attractive and can encourage the remarkable students to do something useful for the future of the country in the field of basic sciences. It starts with an amount of ₹5000 per month and is increased to ₹7000 in the second year.
4) National Talent Search Examination
Students need to appear for the NTSE exam to be eligible for availing the scholarship. Top 1000 rankers of the exam can get a monthly stipend of ₹1250 for pursuing class XI and XII studies in any field. At the graduation level, the rewards are higher.
5) Siksha Abhiyan Scholarship for 10th Passed Students
This scholarship is given to underprivileged students studying in classes 8 to 12. A total of 500 students are awarded a cash prize ranging from ₹8000 to ₹50000. The candidates can apply for the same on the official website of the scholarship.
6) All India Meritorious Scholarship for 10th Pass Students
Students of class XI and XII can apply for this scholarship. The students must qualify on merit and also fall in the category of weak financial status to qualify. The scholarship is awarded to 62 students who are meritorious and 62 who are meritorious and need financial aid.
7) CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship
To encourage meritorious girls to get a good education, CBSE offers scholarships for girls who are a single girl child of their parents. The amount of the grant is ₹500 per month for 2years. The students must score above 60% in class X to be eligible. The application can be submitted online.
