Instagram has become a very used and popular social network in recent times. In which we can contact acquaintances and strangers to see their publications. The accounts we follow may be public and therefore anyone can have access to the publications. In other cases, if we want to see a private Instagram account. We will have to send a follow-up request and wait for the owner to accept before we can enter.
In this case, it is likely that we have a list of sent requests that have not been accepted by the account owners. As they are personal private accounts or that we have pending requests that we do not want to accept. In both cases we can have the option of clean up this list of requests and we’ll talk about that today.
How to view pending follow requests sent on Instagram?
We know that Instagram has the option to present your public or private account as you prefer. And to follow users with private accounts, we must first send a follow-up request. You may have been interested in knowing which requests you have sent. Either because you have accumulated them or simply find out which ones have not been accepted. Next, you will see a series of simple steps to be able to access your submitted requests:
- First, we will make sure that our account is open, and if it is not, we enter.
- We will go to our profile, and we will press the three lines located in the upper left part.
- We go to Settings> Security.
- In the Data and History section, we look for the option to Access data.
- We head to Connections. We will find several options related to the followers and accounts you follow; click on See all under Current Followers Requests. Once there, you will be able to view all the requests that you have sent and have not yet been accepted.
Viewing requests from Android
From the Android system we simply follow the steps previously exposed. We open the application, go to our profile and develop the instructions
View requests sent from iOS
In the case of a mobile with an iOS system (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad). We will follow the steps: Enter the profile> Settings> Security> Access data. Here, we will see a request to accept Instagram cookies, in which we click Accept. This will take us to a section called Contacts. Where we view the option Current follow-up requests. We choose View all, and we can see the sent requests that have not been accepted.
Steps to delete requests sent on Instagram from mobile
As part of our work to get rid of those requests that we no longer want to keep in our account. We will start viewing and cancelling the follow-up requests. That we have sent and that have not been accepted by the recipients. These are those requests sent to someone so that we let yourself be part of their followers.
In order to view the follow-up requests that you have sent. The first thing is to enter your profile and go to the options menu. This will be located in the upper right corner. Then we must go to configuration, we will locate the security, data and history section and access to data. We must wait for a new window to appear. Once there we will see all the information of our account. The contact section and the option of current follow-up requests must be located, we must select see all.
There you will find all the follow-up requests that we have sent and pending to accept. Whether they have not seen it or they have not wanted to accept it. If we want to remove it from the list, we only have to look for each of these users to whom we want to undo the request sent from the search engine of the Instagram application.
When locating the contact we are looking for, we will see a button that says pending. In this case we just have to select it. In this way we will stop following these accounts and this person will no longer have us in their list of requests to accept.
Cancel all requests submitted via apps
Currently there are free applications on Google Play that allow you to easily view follow-up requests on Instagram. One of them Cancel Check Sent Request for Instagram. This application shows all the sent follow-up requests and allows you to delete them one by one without having to enter their profile. Another valid option is the follower analyser application.
This application allows you to track the followers you have on your profile. In this way you can see those who have never liked your publications, if a follower has blocked you. It also allows you to view the follow-up requests sent that have not have still been accepted, among other options. In this way you can have control of the contacts you keep in your profile and decide who to keep or delete.
How to cancel pending requests from a computer?
To cancel requests sent from our computer, we must, as an initial step, enter the Instagram page; once there, we will enter with our username and password. We go to our profile and click the nut icon that is next to the Edit profile option. We select the Privacy and security option, in the Account data section, click on View account data. Here we find the Connections section; We will go to the option of Current Followers Requests and click on See all.
Once we view the accounts with requests sent. We copy the name of the one to which we want to cancel the request. We put it in the Instagram search bar, and we go to their profile. Click on the box where Pending is written and there it will give us the option to Stop following. We click on it, and our follow-up request cancelled.
How to exclude unwanted follow requests received on Instagram?
To eliminate user tracking requests that we do not want to add to our network of followers. We must enter our account and go to the activity section. This section is the one that represented in the menu with a heart. In it we can see everything that has happened in our account, new followers, sent and received follow-up requests, contact suggestions, recent activities among others.
In our case, we will locate the follow-up requests and in the drop-down menu to the right of this option we will select accept, reject or delete the request. It may happen that we mistakenly accept a request that we wanted to cancel. In this case we must enter the list of followers. Find the contact in question, and select delete on the right side of the username. Instagram will ask you to confirm the option to delete the follower, we select delete and that’s it.
