You can view clipboard history in Windows 10 with a key combination and find out everything you’ve copied
Some services only allow you to copy the password but not to view it for security reasons. This way you can only paste it, but it’s a bit silly because to view it and do whatever you want with it, you just have to paste it into any text editor.
Once the password copied to the clipboard, open any editor like Wordpad and paste it into a blank document using the context menu with the right mouse button or the key combination Ctrl + V. Through this trick you can also know what saved in the Windows clipboard right now.
With Windows 10 it is also possible to view clipboard history , i.e. not only the last thing that was copied, but also the previous ones. Normally when you copy a text or an object, it is saved in the clipboard by deleting the previous one. In Windows 10, however, you can also save multiple items to the clipboard.
How to View Clipboard Contents in Windows 10?
This feature is not enabled by default but must be manually enabled. Once you’ve done that, you can save multiple items to the clipboard and view them when you need them. Below I show you how.
- Go to Settings .
- Click on System .
- From the left panel select Clipboard .
- Turn on the Clipboard History option .
- Press the CTRL + V combination to paste the last saved item.
- Press the combination Windows + V to view all the items saved in the clipboard and choose the one to paste.
The Windows + V combination can be used anywhere, even where it is not possible to paste text or an element. Pressing Windows + V opens a window displaying the last items copied to the clipboard. Each element has a small button with three dots at the top right. By clicking on it you can delete the element from the clipboard, add it or you can also decide to delete all the elements.
